SAY YES TO SKIP-CARE!

Hey beauties!

I don’t know about you guys but I’m over the 10-step skincare routines that take up more time than applying makeup. This is why I’m all about Skip-care and Skinmalism.

WHAT IS SKIP-CARE?

I bet you’re sitting there asking yourself what is Skip-care? This is a Korean skin care trend for all my lazy girls out there. It involves skipping some products in your skin care routine but getting the same results. The whole point is finding products that have multiple benefits instead of putting a million things on your face. It saves time, space and most importantly money (yay!)

THE BENEFITS OF SKIP-CARE

A Skip-care routine aims to offer the same benefits of your favorite brand but with fewer steps. You might think that using more products on your face improves the condition of your skin but that’s not necessarily true.

A more complicated, multi-step regimen is not necessarily better,” explains Joshua Zeichner,Using more product means more potential irritation. Plus, we really don’t know whether the products you are combining are actually compatible with each other.”

This is quite scary to be honest. Because combining certain ingredients causes skin irritation. An example of these bad combinations is Ferulic acid which is commonly found in anti-aging skin creams and Vitamin C which is commonly used in Serums.
